cosmic love

Our wedding colors are chocolate brown, antique pink and cream. Things are coming around wonderfully in only a way that God can do things around here. His touch is effortless and beautiful and I think He enjoys planning the wedding with us. It has not been stressful at all, in fact, it's been a huge blessing that came out of thin air. Friends and family come to us in eagerness to help with ideas and help financially.

God has put forth his design in this from the very start on the sand in HB the night he told me I was the one on our first date. He has this cosmic love that is bigger than anything I can imagine. Our love grows stronger each and every day. God has opened door after door allowing us to spend more time with Him and take in the intense love He provides, that just shakes me to the core. May God continue to bless this wedding planning and keep providing.

Right now we are going to start looking at honeymoon options and apartments or condos for rent. Now is my chance to really put into action what I've always dreamed what my future house would be like. I want our house to resemble a quiet, classy and vintage country feel with some bible verse plaques on the wall. I need candles and whimsical music. I want a home of my own. I want to have children and have Sunday dinners at my house just like Grandma. I want to travel with my best friend and fall asleep in his arms in a different country. God is so creative, he plants these deep desires....and if you are patient...he fulfills them. He is so beautiful, in every way. I don't know what I would do without Him.

Update!

Fall is our favorite season of all time and we can't resist the joy of the new hours and "normal" life we both share now. He can get off work earlier from going in early so we can go on a Disney Date. How cool is that? This job is pretty dang awesome so far, not that he will be getting off early all the time but so far I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I'm scared he's going to become a workaholic since he's on a salary paid job now but he promises he won't.

God is good, I've been staying dedicated to reading the Bible everyday for a few weeks now! My car ride to work is my prayer time and my ride on the way back to work is my worship time.
I had been praying for God to work out something were Stephen and I can get closer to Him. Stephen is now in an intense mens group at church called "Journey". His health is also doing much better and is feeling more alert and energetic and is eating up a storm..yay! We are also going to start going to Young Adult Group on Thursday nights as well. We went for the first time last night and it was amazing.

Thank you Lord for always being good to us. Thank you for continually blessing me and those around me. I love when I see you work and I get so excited because it makes me feel like an obedient child. You are so good God, I'm loving this season of growing closer to you and my future husband, for giving us opportunities to have fellowship with other people and giving us opportunities for great jobs. You know my future, and you it is a future filled with hope.

Date Night!

Date night adventure to Newport Beach where we walked the pier, enjoyed the sights, had yummy food at The Old Spaghetti Factory and shivered through gelato. :) Love these moments when we can spend time together alone through our busy schedules and just laugh. It feels good to be young and in love.

P.S Our engagements are done....they are still in preview mode but here they are: Yay!

When is God good?

In Sunday school after almost every lesson the story teller or I will say to the children, " when is God good?!"...and the children reply "ALL THE TIME!!!'

It's a fun thing to do to get them excited about what God s doing in their little lives; but it's true for adults as well. As you know, Stephen and I have been praying vigorously for another job that pays more so we can get married sooner and that he actually likes. Rejection, after rejection, after rejection, Stephen continued to pursue God's will and became very skilled at applying for jobs and being patient. Long nights of venting frustration and sometimes small arguments arose from hopelessness and fatigue. We prayed, and continued to seek God's direction and sovereignty over our lives together and in our careers individually.

Well dear friends, the same day that I was told I would be promoted to full time, Stephen received a job offer for a great company in Irvine. If that isn't great news enough, he will be receiving more money even starting out, he will be doing something he loves, we will be working the same hours ( we can have a normal schedule for once!) and his office is located not more than 10 minutes away from my Preschool. We have talked over a wedding date with immediate family and the wedding party. We will be getting married on the 12th of May, 2012.

When is God good? All the time, indeed. All the time.

Psalms 31:19

"How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you."
