ella, ella

"A tinkling piano in the next apartment, Those stumbling words that told you what my heart meant, A fairground's painted swings...These foolish things remind me of you."

Driving home today in the rain and listening to Ella Fitzgerald is the few simple things in life that really make my heart soar. I complain sometimes about not having a boyfriend...but unless he can appreciate how beautiful rain looks when it slides down the window, how gorgeous the gray hue looks over the city and Ella's voice hitting your heart at the right time.....I'm better off alone.

  1. right you are. I do sometimes ask why I could not find it. But then I had rather wait than to force myself being with the wrong person. He should like forest, as well as yours should like rain.

  6. Oh I know what you mean. & I love, love Ella Fitzgerald. I say I'm much better off alone unless I find a boy who also appreciates these things. Hope your weekend is lovely. xx

  9. I couldn't date anyone who didn't like Ella, I might make an exception to someone who just hadn't heard her (if that's possible) but if you don't like it after hearing it, it's not gonna work.

Anyway, you'll find someone who'll appriciate the look of rain and the sound of Ella some day, I'm sure of it!
